Levels

The Levels system introduces vertical hierarchy into a project, allowing for multi-story structures or stacked design logic. Each level represents a discrete horizontal plane on which objects can be placed, manipulated, or hidden independently. Common use cases include separating floors in a multi-story home, representing mezzanines, rooftop terraces, or commercial floors in a building.

New levels are added via the Levels panel. Each is named sequentially but can be renamed or reordered manually. When editing on a specific level, the interface isolates that workspace, minimizing visual clutter from other stories. Users can optionally enable reference visibility for the level beneath to aid alignment and structural continuity. Levels maintain their own walls, spaces, furniture, and catalog items, ensuring that elements are logically grouped and easier to manage.

Switching between levels updates the canvas and 3D view accordingly. Elements drawn or modified within a level do not affect others unless explicitly copied or moved. This modular approach simplifies the development of vertical spaces while supporting reuse and patterning of floors. Level visibility is also helpful for section analysis, walkthroughs, and collaborative review. Combined with View Options and snapping tools, the Levels feature becomes central to projects involving vertical complexity or multiple user-defined zones.
